Green salad with flax and sunflower seeds

My stomach has been acting up again, so it is time to go again onto the two week alkaline detoxifying diet to get everything into balance again. I did this half a year a ago by doctor’s recommendation and it helped a lot.

This time around I will try to get down more recipes for the future. So here’s a superdelish salad with lots of greens and some crunch from seeds.

Green salad with flax and sunflower seeds
(Serves 1-2 / Prep time approx. 10 min)

What you need:
Green salad with flax and sunflower seeds makings (pellissimo.ee)

couple of leaves savoy cabbage
4 radishes
couple of leaves frillice salad
small cucumber or 1/3 of a long one
handful or sugar peas
handful of rucola
2 cloves of garlic
dash (about tablespoon) of flax seeds
1/4 cup (50 ml) of sunflower seeds
some almonds
avocado oil
little lemon juice (optional)
sea salt (optional)

What to do:

Chop or tear up the greens. If you prefer then peel the radishes and cucumber – i usually don’t bother – and cut into half and then slice. If you don’t like the garlic to hit too intensely then let it though the garlic press so it would spread over the salad better. Crush or chop almonds. Toss in the flax and sunflower seeds.

Drizzle some avocado oil and if using the lemon juice (quick squeeze from a half of a lemon). Mix everything together. Plate the dish and grind a little sea salt on top. Voilà!
