The #balmaination day is almost here! Tomorrow, November 5, is the day when Balmain x H&M collab. stuff hits the stores.
I’m super happy for the chance to take a sneak peek at the pieces that are gonna come to H&M Postimaja store tomorrow. Last week at H&M Estonia organised a #balmaination press get-together, presentation. The womenswear selection is a perfect combination of glamour and basics. First impression of menswear that I saw was “everyday meets party”. A certain white jacket caught my eye. After seeing the lookbook and the runway video – both at the end of the post – I was hoping a little bit larger selection of clothes coming to Estonia, but I understand market differences are there and the purchasing power differs a lot.
Even if all the clothes aren’t fully “my style” there are many pieces that I love. What’s more, most of the pieces are really easy to mix and match with peeps existing wardrobes.
As I didn’t have a chance to try stuff on at the presentation I got a wonderful opportunity to head to H&M Showroom today and try the pieces on for a better feel of the collection. WOW! I love. Million thanks to H&M Estonia team for the balmainlicious lunch break.
First thing that I fell in love with when the lookbook images started to appear online was the jumpsuit. I love jumpsuits and I always have wanted to own one, but I haven’t found one that suits me. It’s a super practical piece of clothing when you think about it, especially when getting ready in a hurry – no need to match trousers and the top, it’s already matched for you (like s suit but more casual). On hotter days you can let the top hang on the hips and you have another look. what’s not to love.
Here are three looks that I liked.
Thank you Ester for the iphoneography.
The jumpsuit, of course! (L):
The stripey jumper and leather pants:
Woolen joggers and fab white jacket (don’t be afraid to mix and match sports and formal wear):
